We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website. Like any website, our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical data such as your IP address and browser details in server logs so that pages can be delivered securely and misuse can be prevented.
03
How we use it and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of personal information. We do not rely on consent for everything — the basis depends on the purpose.
- Responding to enquiries, arranging site visits and preparing quotations — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Carrying out and managing your building or renovation project — performance of a contract.
- Invoicing, accounting and keeping business and tax records — legal obligation.
- Keeping project records, handling complaints, and protecting the business against fraud or legal claims — legitimate interests in running and protecting our business.
- Keeping the website secure and working — legitimate interests.
- Publishing photographs of your property — your permission, which you can withdraw.
We do not send marketing emails. If we introduce them, we will ask for any consent needed separately from your enquiry.
05
Where it is stored and how it’s protected
Enquiries and uploaded files are stored in a private, access-controlled database and file store used by our website. Only authorised AM Pro Build staff can view them. Our website is built and hosted on the Lovable platform, which uses carefully selected infrastructure providers.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum. Storage region: [hosting and database region — to be confirmed].
06
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above.
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: [retention period — to be confirmed].
- Customer project records (contracts, correspondence, photographs): [retention period — to be confirmed], so we can deal with any later questions, defects or claims.
- Accounting and invoicing records: at least 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for UK company and tax records.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely.
07
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Erasure — ask us to delete information, where we don’t need to keep it
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use it
- Objection — object to uses based on our legitimate interests
- Portability — receive information you gave us in a reusable format, where the lawful basis is contract or consent
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, publishing photographs)
We will respond within one month. If a request is complex, we may extend this and will tell you why. We will make reasonable and proportionate searches, and may ask you to confirm your identity.
